Timothy Lencsak

Founder, President, Diver

In early 2012, Tim graduated from Divers Academy International to embark on a career as a Commercial Diver.  After installing solar panels for several years, he planned to work as a diver in the renewable energy field with underwater turbines and offshore wind farms, but something incredible caught his attention. After countless dives throughout the United States, he noticed one constant: TRASH. Then in 2014, he had the idea to form a nonprofit commercial dive organization dedicated to removing waste from the often unnoticed seafloor. Be employed and make a worthwhile difference--that was the core of Tim's endeavors along.

After years of subsisting on an immeasurable amount ramen noodles and absorbing thousands of hours of research, Tim's passion has finally culminated into Subsea Environmental Solutions. He can be found in the early morning or late afternoons on the beach or scuba diving the shallows of the Gulf Coast removing trash of all kinds as he enthusiastically spreads the word about Subsea.

Jackson Wood

Jackson, originally from Northern California, began free diving at age 15 for abalone and spear fishing. Love of diving and adventure led him to attend the College of Oceaneering. After graduating in 2008 with a certificate in hyperbaric medicine, he spent time cleaning and inspecting potable water systems. Eventually Jackson moved to the Gulf Coast, his family's home for eight years now. He has found varied  employment opportunities also working as a heavy equipment operator, electrician helper, overhead crane operator, and iron worker.

Jackson and Tim met in 2013 while working on a large dive project in Biloxi, Mississippi. From the beginning, Jackson has whole-heartedly supported the idea of a nonprofit employing commercial divers as stewards for the forgotten and dismissed underwater environments. He knows what Subsea can accomplish for the Gulf Coast and is proud to help make the dream a reality.
